The elementary Walk-a-thon was a HUGE
success! With everyone's help, our school raised over $3700 dollars!
Kindergarten led the procession around the track and we walked as a group.
Every child made the entire mile! I am so proud of them! I loved how they
thought we "won" the race, because our class finished first. However,
all the classes had to stay in their spot in the procession and it wasn't a
race. But I let them think we won ... they worked so hard. They had a blast
thinking of chants to yell as we walked past the bleachers full of supporters.
We even learned a little skip counting - 2,4,6,8, what do we appreciate?
Kindergarten! Kindergarten! Yeah, Kindergarten!
This is the banner that we made to hang
in the hallway the day of the walk.
Good job everyone!
