Math Tub Time!

If you ever wonder what we do all day - here you go! Sometimes we have papers that come home, but often our learning is hands-on practice with a partner. We practice the skills we are learning and it's more fun with a friend!

Writing numbers that come next:

Measuring with carrots and recording our answers:

Grabbing a mystery coin and graphing what we choose:

Building fine motor skills with a jumbo tweezer and then making number sets and adding:

Tic-Tac-Toe with number sets:

Buggy number sets - fill the jar with right number of bugs after you grab one with a tweezer:

Domino Parking Lot Game: turn the egg timer and GO! See how many dominoes you can add and place in the right parking spot:

So there you have it! Sometimes we don't bring home EVERYTHING!

GLENDALOUGH!

We had a great walk at Glendalough State Park on Wednesday - what a gift to have that resource just 5 minutes away! We looked for signs of fall - and saw and heard many! The leaves were crunchy and when an animal was near the trail we heard that also! The birds were chattering back and forth and of course we heard our friends excited voices when they saw something new! There were lots of snakes and even some mosquitos! The snakes and many bugs were sunning themselves on the warm blacktop of the bike trail.

Enjoy these pictures!

I wonder what Winter looks like at the park?
